Hello Alexander, I've tested the scenario with external monitor but couldn't reproduce it.
I've tested it on Ubuntu mate 16.04 the window changed to full screen mode and stayed on the external screen. Is it possible for you to test it on other system? I doubt it's related to the OS or desktop manager not LibreOffice. I'm setting the bug status to NEEDINFO, Please set it to UNCONFIRMED again after providing the requested data.
