Title: network manager looses wireless connection, reconnect not possible Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: After a certain time (approximately 8-12h) the wireless connection is dropped. A reconnect does not work. I have reported a similar issue with NM 0.7x and 0.8. The issue then was, that the connection password for WPA2 was encrypted twice. Was fixed in later releases and now it's back. I haven't had time to verify in the source code but from what I see, this seems pretty much the same bug. Mitigation: disable wireless rfkill unblock all enable wireless (disable should not block wlan either) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: network-manager 0.9.1.90-0ubuntu5.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-14.23-generic 3.0.9 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-14-generic i686 ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: i386 CRDA: Error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory Date: Sat Dec 17 20:44:34 2011 IfupdownConfig: auto lo iface lo inet loopback InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release i386 (20111012) IpRoute: default via 10.1.0.254 dev eth1 proto static 10.0.0.0/8 dev eth1 proto kernel scope link src 10.1.0.199 metric 2 169.254.0.0/16 dev eth1 scope link metric 1000 NetworkManager.state: [main] NetworkingEnabled=true WirelessEnabled=true WWANEnabled=true WimaxEnabled=true ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_US:en PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: network-manager UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/905786/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
