The features requests like that make more sense upstream, Ubuntu isn't
going to add that in a distribution specific way

  Cannot add week number to calendar

Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  In Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, week numbers cannot be added to the gnome
  calendar.

  When you try to date and time panel in settings you don't have that
  option. This can be seen in the screenshot of the question at:

  Please re-enable calendar week numbering.
