The problem appears to be back (see https://github.com/ubuntu/snapcraft-
desktop-helpers/issues/150#issuecomment-418458767). Re-opening.

It is not observed in the snap built from source (--channel=candidate
/from-source). An obvious difference is that the snap built from source
connects to the gtk-common-themes interfaces (gtk-3-themes, icon-themes,
sound-themes).

Title:
[snap] GTK dialogs have black corners

Status in chromium-browser package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
(initially reported on the forum: https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/call-
  for-testing-chromium-65-0-3325-146/4390/10)

Observed on version 65.0.3325.146 from the candidate channel.

This appears to be specific to the chromium snap, other snaps like
libreoffice or gedit don't exhibit this.

The corners of GTK dialogs (such as the one to save a page to HTML)
are black instead of being transparent, and dialogs don't have
  shadows. See attached screenshot.
