The shortcut for searching inside a message is CTRL-F - if I hit this
hot key the focus jumps to the global/folder search box (2nd text box
seen from top of thunderbird window at the right hand side). If I
start to write something in there messages in the currently selected
folder are filtered.
I'd expect to be able to search inside a message's content. This
behaviour used to open a textbox inside the message window (visible at
the bottom of the message). If I do hit ESCAPE+SLASH the search does
not pop-up as well as it used in older versions of thunderbird.
After having read Bug 643557 I'm not quite sure if the bug lies in the German
translation - it says
Bearbeiten -> Suchen -> In dieser Nachricht Strg+F (Edit -> Search -> in
current message Ctrl+F).
If I hit CTRL+G while a message is selected, the 'search in this
message'-pop-up appears and works properly - maybe it's a wrong shortcut for
above mentioned functionality?
Hitting SHIFT+CTRL+F - if a message is selected - opens a completely
new window that allows for a message search inside folders and breaks
the functionality of former releases to search inside one message with
ESCAPE+SLASH or CTRL+F - Firefox opens the search inside this page box
at the side's bottom when hitting CTRL+F or ESCAPE+SLASH.
