M, I'm reviewing old untouched Firefox bug reports and came across this one. I went to the page that you referred to, which is obviously on your own website, using Ubuntu 18.04 and Firefox 61.0.1 and my PC was virtually disabled by intense disk activity. I managed to regain control of it my logging in remotely and forcing a reboot. NoScript protected me when Firefox restarted and tried to reopen the page.
What is on that page? Can you provide some details and/or a screenshot? Have you tested in other browsers on Ubuntu? Are any other Linux distributions affected? Have you changed the page since you raised this bug report to reduce or eliminate the problem? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/970431 Title: FF in various Ubuntu and Win installations seems to hang up, when I try to open http://mwiacek.com/www/sites/default/files/x9.htm Status in firefox package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: http://mwiacek.com/www/sites/default/files/x9.htm seems to hang up FF in Ubuntu (details attached) and some win7/win xp machines ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: firefox 11.0+build1-0ubuntu0.11.10.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-17.30-generic 3.0.22 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-17-generic i686 AddonCompatCheckDisabled: False AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.24.
