Yes, I understand. I just started bug triaging 3 weeks ago and I was stunned
and how old some of the ticket were. So I set about trying to get them all
closed or addressed.
Thanks for the update, David. I will close the report now.
Have a great day!

Title:
Thunderbird won't accept https SSL certificate that firefox does
Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: thunderbird
This link works fine in Firefox:
https://secure.runway.net.au/bp/cms/emails/bp_wildbean_without_voucher/images/spacer_red.jpg
But try these steps in Thunderbird:
1. Compose new email
2. Click in body and choose menu Insert/Image
3. Paste into Image Location:
https://secure.runway.net.au/bp/cms/emails/bp_wildbean_without_voucher/images/spacer_red.jpg
4. Wait a second or two
5. Immediately you get a message saying: Unable to verify the identity of
secure.runway.net.au as a trusted site.
Certificate matches the domain, is issued by VeriSign Class 3 Secure
Server CA, and is not out of date. If you click "Examine Certificate"
it says "Could not verify this certificate for unknown reasons".
