time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.
Your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates.
It would help us a lot if you could test on a currently supported Ubuntu
version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the
updated logs by running only once in a terminal:
apport-collect 982822
and add any additional information that you think relevant.
Alternatively, please confirm that this is no longer a problem and that
we can close the report. If we do not hear from you the bug report will
close itself in approximately two months time.

submenus don't render on first attempt

Bug description:
My bookmarks are grouped in folders. *Sometimes*, chromium won't
display the contents of such a subfolder (see attached screenshot).
The contents are NOT shown, instead, only a (transparent!) box is rendered.
Only the borders of the box are faintly visible.
In my screenshot, you can see the box to the left of the entry "Braunschweig".
Moving the mouse pointer away (so the box closes) and back (the box
reopens) allows the contents to be rendered (that's my workaround).
While moving the mouse pointer away, I get to see the invisible
contents of the menu for a split second.
I tried to reproduce this with Firefox, but I didn't get this effect
there, so I think it's a chromium issue.
