There have been many changes in Ubuntu and Firefox since that time you
reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the
updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently
supported Ubuntu version.
When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated
logs by running only once:
apport-collect 1600588
and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

Description of problem:
Any dialog for accessing files from firefox (download or upload) now has
wonky behavior.
- Single clicks in the file list seem to be like drag operations
- Single click in the favorites expose a similar behavior, but only on the
personal favorites
- Double click seems to work fine in the file list
- Sometimes one has to double click the "Save" or "Upload" button for it to
take an action
