Title:
New local folders not writeable
Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: thunderbird
Because I run both Windows and Ubuntu, I put all local mail folders
onto a LAN (NAS) network hard drive where the mail is accessible no
matter the OS. It is fine in Windows but under Ubuntu, if I create a
new folder, I cannot write to it. I CAN write to any existing folder
or to any created in Windows. I do not see a way of changing
permissions on the drive directly so clearly Thunderbird is missing
something important in that area. Please advise.
