Title:
  Cannot Browse to Mail "dot" Folders

Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: thunderbird

  Thunderbird seems to have lost its IMAP folders and will not let me
  re-type the path in the Account settings. Since the path uses "dot"
  folders, they are invisible when I try to browse to the folder even
  though I have enabled the viewing of hidden files on the system. This
  serious limitation appears to be a design bug or at least the ability
  to type or paste in the path needs to be added.

  Thunderbird version 2.0.0.22 (20090608)

  ProblemType: Bug
  Architecture: i386
  Dependencies:

  DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04
  Package: mozilla-thunderbird None [modified:
/var/lib/dpkg/info/mozilla-thunderbird.list]
  PackageArchitecture: all
  ProcEnviron:
   PATH=(custom, no user)
   LANG=en_US.UTF-8
   SHELL=/bin/bash
  SourcePackage: thunderbird
  Uname: Linux 2.6.28-13-generic i686
  UnreportableReason: This is not a genuine Ubuntu package
