Title:
Wifi disconnects randomly under ubuntu 17.10
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Status in network-manager package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Wifi connection on my Laptop Toshiba S55-A579 with UBUNTU 17.10 gets
disconnected at random intervals. I noticed this behavior 2 months ago
and still no solution available. It disconnects at home and even at
public places. The controller is:
03:00.0 Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros QCA9565 / AR9565 Wireless
Network Adapter (rev 01)
I tried some solutions from internet, like setting: wifi.scan-rand-
mac-address=no and even disconnecting the energy saver feature.
Installing a firmware that I found in internet: firmware-ath9k-
htc_1.4.0-81-gf206e56+dfsg-2_all, doesn't help at all.
Sometimes, when the disconnection happens, the icon of wifi at the top
bar transform into a grey box.
It is a very annoying bug, it seems that came with some update,
because it was working just fine 2 months ago.
Best.
