So, is anyone interested on trying a definitive solution to this? If I wait until it errors out or click "Disconnect" then "Connect", it works perfect. I've seen users in some forums (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=233519) telling that the problem is that when NetworkManager boots, KWallet is not yet available and so it doesn't have the password to connect to the wifi network. But if you click the "Connect" button, then KWallet is available and then it works. Maybe NetworkManager should depend on KWallet at boot (just Kubuntu, of course).
