In my opinion, Banshee has come a long way since I last tried. Great work! It imported my somewhat large collection fine and worked for several hours on building the database, adjusting file and folder names, etc.
In addition to BPM detection, I have found the following extensions to cause Banshee to use at least 100% of one of two available cores: - Clutterflow - Mirage Once these extensions are unchecked, Banshee hogs neither CPU nor IO.
