*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1720159 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1720159
I doubt this being a duplicate:
The error message differs and it only happens when deja-dup starts
automatically.
When launched manually, deja-dup and duplicity work fine.
Currently only the first automatic launch after a reboot works. Every
other attempt leads to the above mentioned error.

Title:
duplicity fails with unknown error
Status in duplicity package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:

duplicity gets started daily via deja-dup automatically.
Every now and then (approx. every third time) I get the following
error:

Restarting deja-dup manually fixes the problem and the next few days,
automatic backup will run correctly until (see above).
