[K8M800]cant setup 1024x800 screen no VGA detected

Bug description:
Binary package hint: xorg
After a clean install of Ubuntu 9.10 Alpha 6 (did hapen also once in
U9.04) , screen was correctly detected . 1024x768 .
After a synapitc update and reboot resolution was set up to 800x600
and 640x480 avaible.
runing xrandr I only get screen 0, no VGA.
There is no xorg file, and no result runing sudo dpkg-reconfigure
xserver-xorg anyways should not beeing need ?
