Whether or not this bug triggers an accidental minimize seems to depend on the style of the headerbar.
For gedit, the window is accidentally minimized as the bubble menu also appears too high (so the user is now unwittingly selecting Minimize). For Terminal however, the accidental minimize does not happen. Maybe we need a separate bug for those bubble menus appearing too high, but it's very closely related to this one right now. ** Summary changed: - Window menus close as soon as they open (and in some cases minimizes the window) + Window menus close as soon as they open -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1717446 Title: Window menus close as soon as they open Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in mutter package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Window menus close as soon as they open, if you happen to be moving the mouse upward very slightly at the same time.
