Dear all, I switched to 17.10 on Friday and I noticed the same exact problem. This is not solved, because my Ubuntu version is fully updated. when I drag and drop files from the desktop to an open nautilus window, the mouse cursor gets stacked and the only solution to unblock the situation is to restart the laptop. Killing nautilus does not solve the problem, therefore it seems unlikely to me that the bug is related to nautilus.
