Gnome bug 607420 is now closed. Appatently they think the bug is ubuntu specific. Can anyone review this again? Ubuntu bug is marked as incomplete. What information is needed to advance on this?
I'm using ubuntu 11.04 and this serious bug is still here. When during rename you press delete button to delete character or selected few characters the file (or folder) you are trying to rename is deleted instead. So far, I've been able to find deleted items in Trash and restore them. When renaming with cut & paste or printing characters everything is fine.
