I am using Ubuntu 10.10 (up to date) and pulseaudio-equalizer_2.7.0.1-1_all.deb If I do not use the PA equalizer then pulseaudio remembers the default applications i did choose using PA Volume Control. Also after I rebooted Ubuntu and that is what I expect. I use the audio of the motherboard for films and music and I use the USB phone for Skype and I can use both at the same time, perfect. After I start the PA Equalizer I loose that behaviour. The PA Equalizer is connected to my motherboard audio and that is fine. What is not fine is that also my Skype PA Volume Control settings is set to the PA Equaliser -> my motherboard audio. Even if I set it again manually to my USB Phone at the end of each Skype (test)call pulseaudio equalizer or pulseaudio overwrites my manual settings with the PA Equaliser -> motherboard audio initial setting. Note that this behaviour continues if I disable the PA equaliser. After each Skype call the Skype application setting is reset to my motherboard audio. I have to reboot to get the wanted behaviour back. This is the bug. The PA Equaliser should be treated as any other device, if selected it should be used. It could be even the default, but it should never overrule my choice in PA Volume Control.
