Hey Dan. When I get a few minutes I'm going to investigate the most appropriate fix for this, which for an LTS must meet the Stable Release Update (SRU) requirements of being minimally invasive and demonstrably not introducing potential regressions in other areas.

I checked with the picard program I had on the machines. The CD lookup revealed the tagging information in picard.
