the screenshots attached by Dmitry Shachnev are showing the procedure to add launcher in unity interface in oneric...where as the bug filed was under gnome fallback mode.... the simple query was that there is no option to add desktop shortcuts. can't even drag and drom on desktop in a netbook screen (1024 x 600).
