Title:
Desktop GUI freezes when playing audio after screensaver activates

Status in pulseaudio package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Desktop GUI sometimes freezes whilst playing music (in vlc & chromium) when
waking up the display from the default screensaver.
The screen displays correctly but frozen.
Using Ctrl- Alt-F1 and HTOP or TOP killing pulseaudio or process (highlighted
red) seems to work.
Using Ctrl- Alt-F7 and the returning to GUI everything is working again.
Close and restart vlc or chromium and carry on listening.
