The package you are using is not the package that ships with yakkety. I'm not sure what package that is but you should report this failure to Jens Georg <m...@jensge.org> as he's apparently maintaining it.

[Test Case] 1. Get an application that uses the python bindings to GExiv2, such as GottenGeography 2. Try to open a photo. Expected behavior: The photo opens. Actual behavior: the program crashes. [Regression Potential] Very little, the changes are confined to GExiv2.py, which is already completely broken. This change can't possibly break it any worse than it already is.
