Public bug reported:

Since using Ubuntu 16.04 instead of 14.04, I sometimes encounter an old
list of WiFi networks in the nm-applet menu after wakeup from standby.
The list is stuck then and not updated anymore.

Using nmcli, I can see the correct list, so it is not a problem of
NetworkManager or the WiFi stack, but of nm-applet it seems.

I then have to use 'nmcli con up id <my connection>', to connect the
network. If I do this, the nm-applet menu gets updated instantly, and
resumes it's normal operation.
