After recently upgrading to the latest version of the numix-gtk-theme from the PPA I decided to switch to it, however up on doing so I triggered this issue. When I switched back to Adwaita however the issue went as well.
Now however, even after switching back to Adwaita, the issue still persists. It seemed to coincide with when I restarted Nautilus as it wasn't allow me to do anything with the desktop (this is another issue which I have reported). So should this report be reopened or shall I file a new report? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1586655 Title: Background grey even though set to image and image is displayed elsewhere Status in Nautilus: Fix Released Status in Ubuntu GNOME: Fix Released Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: After upgrading to GNOME 3.20 on Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 I have found that even if I set my background again through the gnome-control-center that my background looks like this: Background_Not_Showing.png Even though it shows correctly in both of these places: Background_Shown_In_Settings.png Background_Shown_In_AO.png I have also tried setting the button via the right-click option in Nautilus but still the same results.
