Title:
Authentification dialog is too wide
Status in One Hundred Papercuts:
Confirmed
Status in policykit-1-gnome package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
The authentication dialog for update-manager, synaptic...etc is too
wide, accommodating approximately 120 characters. See the attached
screen-shot. However executing "gksu gedit" brings up a smaller
authentication window, of more appropriate length. I've discovered
that there are other extra wide dialog windows displaying messages.
This is most likely because they have to accommodate the text they're
displaying. It's looks more like a matter of formatting the text in
some dialog boxes. Not sure that gksu should be the affected package
here.
