I have now filed this upstream as bug 765430
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=765430

Maybe I should also file a bug/enhancement on ubuntu-bug to do this
automatically :)

Title:
Evolution cannot have two contacts with same email address

Status in evolution package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
If I have to contacts with the same email address evolution crashes
when I add the second one.

  Specifically: LDAP address book

The situation is that these are business contacts where a manager
uses his assistant's email address and does not have one of his own.
I wish to have the same email address recorded for both people.
