Title:
crash seen after trying to authorize updates

Status in gksu package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gksu

The password authentication screen wouldn't come up - said that it
couldn't access the screen. I have desktop effects turned off, yet am
now having difficulty having clicks recognized, especially on the
panel and window decorations. Navigation by keyboard is sometimes the
  only successful approach.
