@Francois, if you have message "Autoselected keyboard map ru", try to
run rdesktop with *correct* value of "-k" key, for example "-k en-us".

Title:
rdesktop works bad with several keyboard layouts

Status in rdesktop package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: rdesktop

Many people have many errors while working with rdesktop on a remote host
having two or more keyboard layouts.
For example, russian letter 'Б' sometimes are recognized as if it was pressed
with Alt.
Sometimes it works fine, sometimes symbols "." and "," do not work properly.

One man founded a solution (raw keyboard support), it deskribed here:
  http://habrahabr.ru/blog/ubuntu/45595.html

Alt Linux maintainers added patch to rdesktop, it's located here:
  http://sisyphus.ru/srpm/Sisyphus/rdesktop/patches

After patch is applied, it is possible to use option '-y' to use raw
keyboards. After that all problems with two or more keyboard layouts
  go away.

Please include this patch while building this package.
