Même punition, même motif ;-) I had the same problem with my MP620 and the upgrade to Ubuntu Wily. Rolf Bensch'PPA (thank you, James Ring) solves this problem... after two updates (some incompatibilities in the first one...).

I'm running sane 1.0.14-11 and sane-utils 1.0.25+git201505.
