With the upgrade to 15.10 the dead key of ~ (and thus the possibility of writing ñ) stopped to work for me. Switching to german legacy as described here solved the issue for now. But for me it would be extremely annoying if this layout is removed without any sane solution. (editing keymaps is no sane solution)
