I am sorry. I cannot give you this information any longer because I found a workaround in the meantime :
- temporarily "deinstallation" of the ppa by renaming /etc/apt/sources.list.d/libreoffice-ppa-precise.list - removing the LibreOffice 4.4.5 installation : sudo apt-get remove libreoffice* - optional : updating all packages notified by update_manager of ubuntu - reactivating the ppa by renaming the .list-file to its original name - installation of LibreOffice 5.0.0 : sudo apt-get install libreoffice libreoffice-l10n-de libreoffice-help-de After this procedure further updates by update_manager worked without any problem (for LO and all other packages). For the 64-bit system I remember that the updates of linux-generic-lts-trusty linux-image-generic-lts-trusty linux-headers-generic-lts-trusty got blocked by the LO PPA. The other way round : even a completely updated system did not allow to directly upgrade from LO 4.4.5 to 5.0.0. The update_manager only noticed the LO-Update, nothing else. Nevertheless it was impossible to update because most of the entries were disabled (blocked) . The LO 4.4.5 installation had to be removed completely first. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1483183 Title: Error upgrading LibreOffice 4.4.5 to 5.0 by ppa:libreoffice/ppa on Ubuntu 12.04 Status in libreoffice package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: The ppa has been installed by apt one and a half years ago. The updates are managed by update_manager, the standard tool used by standard ubuntu installations. In past time updating LibreOffice by this ppa always was successfull without any error messages. This behaviour changed last week when the ppa was upgraded to version 5.0. Now in update_manager a dialog pops up, telling that installation of all packages is impossible, only part of the packages could be installed (see attached screenshot). Most of the package entries from the ppa are disabled in the dialog. I did not install these packages because I fear my running LO 4.4.5 installation will be destroyed by this attempt. Searching the internet for this issue the last days gave tons of sites about the general installation of LO by ppa but no hint for the problem described. The error is observed on two different systems, both Ubuntu 12.04 : 1 : Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS precise Linux 3.5.0-54-generic (32 bit) 2 : Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS precise Linux 3.13.0-61-generic (64 bit) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/1483183/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
