** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 827713 Handles long names poorly -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to unity-greeter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/932152 Title: Long names and the session menu icon overlap Status in unity-greeter package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: On the login screen, my name shows as "Christopher Kyle Horton". This is long enough to run under the session menu icon so the two overlap each other, and it looks ugly. It would be nice if the login box could resize to accommodate longer names, or if the old fading effect used on the end of longer names was added back in, or something similar.
