Thank you Chris.  I suppose it is more a question for Robert Roth as he
seems to have marked this bug as Fix Released but apport seems to think
I hit it yesterday morning.

On my second attempt to add the printer things worked.  This is not
blocking me but it feels wrong to leave infrequent crashes marked as
fixed when they are not.  Perhaps apport was mistaken when it attributed
things to this bug.
