I have 4.2.8.2 installed on Linux Mint 17 based on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS - and I am still experiencing the issue. It was researching the issue that led me to this thread, as a matter of fact. My system is completely up to date as of 3 Jun 15. Here's the build info: [[ Version: 4.2.8.2 Build ID: 420m0(Build:2) ]] if it helps. I have files mounted from a windows server share - and my current office only has a T1 (1.544 Mbit) for connectivity to the home office. Many mouse-based functions slow to a 20-60 second lag. Clearing out the recent files history does temporarily fix the problem - once I save the file and the file is now listed in the recent files, the problem returns.

Lock up can be up to 30 seconds before control is returned to the user. I have found that this takes place even on documents located on the same physical machine, not just network hosted documents. Problem does not occur if I disconnect form the SSHFS drive. I can understand potential delay when editing a remote document but the connection to an SSHFS file server is affecting editing of locally held documents too.
