OpenGL GLX context is not using direct rendering
Status in xorg-server package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Since Mesa 10.2 i get an error when i run Steam: "OpenGL GLX context is not
using direct rendering, which may cause performance problems.
For more information visit
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=9938-EYZB-7457."
When i try to run Half-Life 2 i get this:
"Could not find required OpenGL entry point 'glGetError' ! Either your video
card is unsupported, or your OpenGL driver needs to be updated."
If a game does run i get horrible frame rate like 5 fps
I have SAPPHIRE HD 7850 1GB, the same error shows on mesa 10.3 and 10.4.
I have Xubuntu 14.10 but the same error shows on other Ubuntu flavors and
distributions.
