I tried to purge the existent libreoffice and openoffice(?) files by entering sudo apt-get purge 'openoffice*' and sudo apt-get purge 'libreoffice*' in a terminal.
In Synaptic I added the packet source ppa:libreoffice/ppa to be sure to receive the latest version of the libreoffice packet.
