Public bug reported: When I close the lid of the laptop the computer will go into suspend mode. But when i open the laptop back up, the computer comes out of suspend mode (as the speakers operate and i can use the terminal the shut down the computer) but the screen is totally blank, not dim, totally blank.
I found this bug report, (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /xubuntu-default-settings/+bug/1303736) but it does not work on this computer. currently i'm using the work around here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1978290 but the computer will not enter sleep mode and when disconnected from the power the battery goes dead. using 14.04 LTS laptop is a HP Pavilion g6-2268ca Thanks!
