100% confirmed, although slightly varied in my case.... I no longer get the login password prompt on BOTH my monitors. Only on my primary one (laptop) and not on my external Samsung monitor. Before, I would get the password prompt on both, log in, and Ubuntu would correctly remember that I want my laptop screen disabled and picture only shown on my external monitor. Now, at the LightDM login screen, I get a weird rendered purple screen that only even completes rendering (refreshes and displays correctly) when I move my mouse within my external monitor. And even then, it just shows the default wallpaper with an Ubuntu icon in the background and NO password prompt.

Status in “gnome-screensaver” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I have a laptop running Ubuntu 11.10 (stock setup for the most part) with an external monitor hooked up to it. I always lock the screen before leaving my computer unattended, but when I return, the password prompt sometimes shows up on the secondary monitor instead of the primary one. I'd say it does this roughly 50% of the time.
