** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 1348222 Rhythmbox asks for installing MPEG-1 Layer 3 (MP3) encoder -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1325350 Title: MP3 extraction, cover editor, library... regressions ? Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Ubuntu 14.04 upgraded from 13.10 Rhythmbox 3.0.2ubuntu2 The tool "cover editor" does not show any text. The library is not automatically updated - have to import manually each new file or folder; Eject a CD makes Rhythmbox crash. And most annoying : Rhythmbox is unable to extract audio CD to mp3 because it never finds the right plugin BUT the gstreamer-bad- ugly-a.s.o. are installed in my system. Asunder extracts correctly CD to mp3 for example, as other applications (ffmpeg, avconv, sox...) I did not have those problems on either ubuntu 12.04 or 13.10. Possible regressions or do I need to go through a full new 14.04 install instead of upgrading ?
