Reproduced on Windows XP, Inkscape trunk revision 13528. But Inkscape opens the '"Do you want to save this file as Inkscape SVG" first, and then crashes if the XCF (or other format) save isn't done. Scislac, could you please confirm it crashed with no save dialog on your computer?
