I'm using Ubuntu 14:04
When I run Rhythmbox with "gksudo", ie: "gksudo rhythmbox" in the terminal, the
menu does not appear on the top or integrated bar of the application window.
In previous versions of Ubuntu menus were available when using "gksudo
rhythmbox".
