Feedback:
My previous issue was with zip files selected and downloaded from midori
(0.4.3) browser links.
First strange issue, the downloaded file was created where chosen but empty (a
real full copy was done into /temp dir). After either cut/paste to the right
path or filling the 0 byte file created with it content from the /tmp dir, then
that zip file cant be loaded/extracted, neither directly nor from a terminal.
That is; so i've used chromium as the browser to select and download the same
zip files. And that time there is no more issue with these zip files !!!
So it seems a midori issue to me.
As the OP have not made comment since a long time, i close that report.

Title:
Archive Manager refuses to open zip-type archives
Status in “file-roller” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Today I downloaded a modification for a popular game, Minecraft, which
was packaged in a .zip file. I had the Minecraft.jar file open in a
separate window, and when I tried to open the zip file, it refused to
open. A work around I found was to rename the file to filename.jar,
which opened with no hassle from Archive manager.
