  Welch's - Screen will show abnormally when change the resolution

Bug description:
  BIOS: x05
  Graphic: Intel-UMA
  OS: ubuntu 8.10

  Description: Screen will show partially when change resolution from 640*480 
to 1024*576 but it will show normal after logout or restart. VP on LCD and VGA
  UUT will switch to login window when change resolution from 1025*576 to 
640*480.You must log in and then you can see the resolution changed 
successfully.  .

  Steps:
  1.Power on UUT and boot to OS with LCD only
  2.Make sure that the default resolution is 640*480
  3.Open System-->Preferences-->Screen Resolution
  4.Change the resolution to 1024*576 then apply
  5.Screen will show partially <-----problem(see attched capture)
  6.Reboot UUT to OS and change the resolution from 1024*576 to 640*480 then 
apply
  7.UUT will switch to login window <---problem
