Status in “usb-modeswitch-data” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
usb-modeswitch-data in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS is 2 years old (20120815-2)
since then 10 new versions have been published upstream, adding a whole lot
of new devices and bugfixes (especially from huawei)
But usb-modeswitch-data should synced together with usb-modeswitch package,
see LP bug #1280546 - [FFe] sync current version of usb-modeswitch
2.1.0+repack0-1 from Debian testing (Trusty has 2 years old version)
That might help to cut down quite a few of the other reported bugs on
this package.
