Title:
eth0 re-activates on wake even if de-activated before suspend
Status in “pm-utils” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Upon waking from suspend, eth0 is re-activated even when de-activated
before suspending.
Using Ubuntu 12.04 on Samsung Series 9 NP900X3B.
3.4.0-030400-generic #201205210521 SMP Mon May 21 09:22:02 UTC 2012 x86_64
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Some background:
Using laptop_mode, I have configured eth0 to deactivate when on battery
power. Alternatively I can de-activate using "sudo ifconfig eth0 down". After
waking from suspend, I notice that eth0 is always activated. I can verify this
by seeing the power draw in powertop. Manually de-activating again works fine.
