Using trusty + xorg-edgers To be able to play Steam games just delete this:
~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/i386/usr/lib/i386-linux- gnu/libxcb.so.1 Steam first looks for a library in the steam-runtime directory, if the required library is not found, Steam looks for it under /usr/lib/. Only tested it with Counter-Strike: Source. Gonna install some Source Engine games now. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libxcb in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1265642 Title: [xorg-edgers] libxcb-dri3 undefined symbol: xcb_send_fd results in OpenGL device not found in Wine and Steam games Status in “libxcb” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: Latest update (to 1.10-1~xedgers~saucy1) from xorg-edgers ppa results in crash upon starting any Wine application requiring OpenGL.
