Public bug reported:

The symptom is always the same: the cursor starts to move choppily, soon
it stops moving at all, keyboard input is ignored although
Ctrl+Alt+PrtSc+REISUB works and is the only option remaining.

It doesn't seem to be connected to running any particular application.
The only common attribute is that it always occur during higher RAM load
= over 50% (on a 2GB RAM system). I've tested, re-tested and tested
again RAM in Memtest for >6h periods and no error was ever reported so
in my opinion the hardware issue of the RAM can be ruled out.

NOTE: This is an incredibly frustrating problem as it affects system
stability/usability.
