Pretty sure there's a duplicate of this bug out there. For now, I'm
marking as confirmed. This issue exists on my Lenovo Thinkpad X220, but
there certainly is a workaround.

** Description changed:

  I bought a Dell XPS 13 recently and the brightness adjust shortcuts are
  showing the graphics on top left of the screen that the brightness is
  getting changed but I am not seeing any change in the actual brightness.
+
+ My issue is that the brightness setting resets after reboot.

** Package changed: ubuntu => gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu)

** Changed in: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Confirmed
